Agroberries acquires European giant BerryWorld Group
.SHAREThe Chilean company Agroberries announced the acquisition of Europe's leading soft fruit trader, BerryWorld Group. The transaction valued the company at US$ 1.35 billion, which positions Agroberries as the second largest trader of this fruit in the world, only surpassed by the American company, Driscoll's.
The deal took place in England, led by the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Barros Silva Varela & Vigil advised Agroberries‘ founding shareholders on the shareholders’ agreement and other contracts relevant to the transaction, and supported the company's legal management in the closure of the operation.
