.SHAREBarros Silva Varela & Vigil participated in the Annual Meeting of the Chilean-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce, an event that celebrated its 45th anniversary and recognised key figures who have strengthened ties between Chile and Peru.
During the ceremony, the prestigious Ambassador José Luis Bustamante y Rivera Award was presented, a distinction that since 2008 has honoured 29 individuals, companies and enterprises that, through their work, have promoted the development of economic, social and cultural relations between the two nations.
This award is named after the father of our partner José Manuel Bustamante Gubbins, a prominent diplomat, founder of the Chamber and a key figure in the history of bilateral integration. In his speech, José Manuel gave an emotional message to those present, highlighting the significance of his father's legacy and the relevance of his values in the current relationship between Chile and Peru.
This year's award winners were Karla Zapata Oballe, general manager of Enel X Chile, for her leadership in sustainability and innovation; the company Cimagen Comunicaciones, for its more than 25 years of binational work; and the gastronomic-cultural venture Sángüchería Huarique Ya Pé, for its innovative contribution to the integration of both cultures.
Our partners Roberto Lewin and José Manuel Bustamante participated in the ceremony, which also brought together important authorities, business leaders and diplomatic representatives, consolidating it as a key event for reaffirming the commitment to sustainable development and economic integration between Chile and Peru.
