Barros Silva Varela & Vigil and Redes Derecho UC organised a meeting with leading professionals from the legal industry to discuss the challenges facing the profession today, the dilemmas that future lawyers will face, and the training and specialisation opportunities that will open doors and broaden their professional horizons.

José Manuel Bustamante, partner at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil, opened the panel by pointing out the importance of vocation as the central axis of the profession.

For his part, Rafael Mery, Director of Mirada 360 and UDP academic, spoke about trends, digital transformation, and how to add value in an increasingly competitive market.

Paula García-Huidobro, partner and Executive Director of Idealis, spoke about the professional profile that employers in the legal market are currently looking for and what it takes to succeed.

This meeting was moderated by Paula Vial, a prominent lawyer and professor of criminal law at the Catholic University of Chile, who urged the panellists to share their vision and opportunities for improvement in the training of Chile's future lawyers.

Finally, the attendees joined in by expressing their points of view and contributing to the debate.

Digital transformation and new skills for success in the legal world were the focus of debate at a meeting attended by Rafael Mery (Mirada 360), Paula García Huidobro (Idealis), José Manuel Bustamante (BSVV) and Paula Vial (UC).
