Pilar González was appointed partner of Barros Silva Varela & Vigil Law Firm and will lead the firm's Tax practice. Pilar is a lawyer from Universidad de Chile, LLM in Tax Law from Queen Mary University of London and has more than 13 years of experience in the field. She currently works as professor of Tax Law in the Department of Economic Law of the Faculty of Law of Universidad de Chile. She joined BSVV in 2020 and with this appointment she becomes the youngest partner of the Firm, at 34 years old.

In this regard, Fernando Barros Vial, founding partner of the firm, assured that “the incorporation of Pilar as partner in charge of the tax practice constitutes a fundamental step in the consolidation of the firm as a multi-service office. Pilar González is an assistant professor of pre- and postgraduate Tax Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile, member of the Institute of Tax Law, of the Chilean Bar Association, an entity in which she was appointed member of the Directory of Expert Lawyers, and Young Arbitrator of the Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM) of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), among others.

Over 10 years after its foundation, BSVV has 10 partners and 40 associates.
