BSVV advises Latin America Power on the placement of bonds in the United States for the sum of USD 412 million
.SHAREThe purpose of the issuance and placement of bonds was to obtain funds for the refinancing of the wind power projects of San Juan (184.8MW) and Totoral (46MW). The bonds were placed at an interest rate of 5.35%, maturing in 2033.
The placement closed on September 28, 2017 and included guarantees on all the assets of the subsidiaries of the issuing company, San Juan and Totoral.
The Bank of New York acted as administrative agent and representative of the bondholders. In Chile, Banco de Chile acted as local guarantor agent.
Greenberg Traurig acted as an adviser to LAP in the United States. Buyers of the bonds were assisted by Carey locally and by Norton Rose Fulbright and Winston & Strawn LLP as advisers under New York law.
