Pilar has 12 years of experience and is currently the Head of the Tax Department at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil. She specialises in corporate reorganisations of high net worth individuals, national entities and foreign companies with businesses in Chile. She also has experience in corporate tax consultancy, which involves accompanying businesses from their creation and throughout all their stages.
Pilar has extensive experience in resolving tax disputes both before the Internal Revenue Service and before the Tax and Customs Courts.
She has been a lecturer in different undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and Universidad de Chile, where she currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Tax Law.
Pilar is a member of the corps of young arbitrators of the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce.
