Ruling in favor of Ingevec sets precedent on advertising in real estate market

.SHARE

Yesterday, the Santiago Court of Appeals ruled on the use of "referential images" in the sale of green or white real estate projects.

In the ruling, the Court makes it clear that indicating that the images of projects sold in green or white are referential or do not reflect reality, does not constitute an infringement of the Consumer Protection Law, as they do not constitute misleading advertising, but rather - rather - obey the duty of the supplier to inform the consumer of the characteristics of the property and that there may be variations with respect to what was included in the advertising. It also states that it is the duty of the consumer to be informed of the characteristics of the unit he is acquiring.
