Rodrigo de Alencar Baraona

Rodrigo co-heads the firm's M&A practice and has extensive experience in complex transactions, with a mainly international focus in a variety of areas such as manufacturing, mining, services, consumer, construction, sports, etc.

He also focuses his practice on shareholders' agreements and conflicts, both in open and closed companies, and advises Boards of Directors on corporate governance matters. In addition to his experience as a professor of Civil Law for over 20 years, Rodrigo has advised minority shareholders, controlling shareholders, directors and third parties in arbitration and litigation related to the Corporations and Securities Law.

Rodrigo advises domestic and foreign companies, with a special focus on Private Equity and in markets such as Brazil, Asia, the UK and the US.

Rodrigo heads BSVV's Brazilian Desk.
